Holly Hashimi wanted to create something for girls in her community that she would have benefited from as a child and into adulthood.

In September 2023, she (along with her dog Mrs. Pudding) started HeartSpark sessions girls from the Fort McMurray community.

Sessions have always focused on topics important to the development and mental health of participants in a safe place allowing for growth, self-discovery and friendships to grow.

The program continues to grow and change according to participants' needs and includes creative elements, volunteering, field trips and more with a goal of enriching the lives of our future leaders and helpers.

On April 4, 2024 HeartSpark officially became a non-profit organization.
